LAWRENCE LEVI

writer + editor

I’ve been writing about culture since the 1990s. Years ago I cowrote The Film Snob’s Dictionary (Broadway Books), which was a Los Angeles Times best seller. My articles have appeared in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Los Angeles Times, New York Observer, and many other publications.

As an editor, most recently I was copy chief at Departures, the Time Inc.–American Express travel magazine. I’ve held staff positions at The New York Times, the online magazine Nextbook (now called Tablet), Art & Antiques, and Self, the Condé Nast women’s magazine. I live in Brooklyn.

What else have I been I up to? Poke around here to find out.
