LAWRENCE LEVI

writer + editor

I’ve been writing about culture since the 1990s. A decade ago I cowrote The Film Snob’s Dictionary (Broadway Books), which was a Los Angeles Times best seller. My articles have appeared everywhere from the Village Voice and The Nation to the New York Times and Vanity Fair. Most recently I’ve written for Guernica and Kirkus.

I’m currently a senior editor with the New York Times Licensing Group. Over the years I’ve held editorial positions at Condé Nast, Time Inc., and several other once grand media companies. I live in Brooklyn.

When I’m not writing or editing, I also make photographs.
